This section is about how your school’s management is set up and how it involves low-energy design and energy reduction practices. This section will be split up into four parts:
Laboratory
Designated educational labs/workshops that incorporate low-energy design.
- Each award counts for six credits with a possibility of 12 credits overall.
For each section, you must submit:
- Name of lab
- Location of lab
- A publicly accessible and viewable link to:
- Syllabus of the course using the laboratory.
- A minimum of five photos of the lab
- 100-word abstract of this laboratory with a description of its space and its equipment.
Sustainable Operations
Department/College/School/University’s advertised facility management practices that reduce energy consumption.
- Each effort counts for four credits with a possibility of 12 credits overall.
For this section, you must submit:
- Name of sustainable operations
- Name of what office has implemented this practice
- 100-word abstract of this practice with a description of how it benefits the university and incorporates lowering energy consumption.
- 100-word abstract of this laboratory with a description of its space and its equipment.
- Name of contact who can give additional information that is needed.
Action Plans
Your University’s published action plan(s) aimed at accomplishing a clear and significant energy use reduction of their facilities.
- Each published action plan is worth six credits for a total of 12 credits overall.
For this submission you must include:
- Name of action plan
- Name of facilitator in charge of the action plan
- 100-word abstract that identifies names, locations, and time periods of action plan
- A publicly accessible and viewable link a piece of sample evidence, such as images or other documents that illustrate the activities.
Personnel
Any employee at the institution’s school/department whose job description includes activities that reduce energy consumption.
- Each employee is equivalent to 6 credits with a possibility of 12 credits overall.
For this submission you must include
- Name of faculty/staff
- Job title
- 100-word abstract that describes the job’s responsibilities and identifies names, locations, and time periods.
- A publicly accessible and viewable link a piece of sample evidence, such as images or other documents that illustrate the job activities.
